How do I obtain permission to perform a Stephen Schwartz song in my cabaret act or concert?
You do not need permission to perform 1-3 Stephen Schwartz songs in a cabaret or concert. If you wish to sing more than three, please contact us at office@stpehenschwartz.com. In either case, outside of New York City you must check with your performance venue to confirm whether or not it has already been licensed for ASCAP (or, if not in the USA, with the licensing agency in your country to see if they have a reciprocal relationship with ASCAP). If the venue is already set up for this, you don’t need to pay a fee, but if not, you need to contact us about a possible royalty fee at office@stephenschwartz.com with “Concert” in the subject heading.
