How do I obtain more information about the soilscape classifications?
As the description for each of the soilscape classifications is long, we have been unable to include this information in the legend of the interactive map. As an alternative the full key with text descriptions is available. You can also use the ‘identify’ button in MAGIC when you are viewing the soilscape information. Click on the identify button then on the map, and the description of the soilscape for the point that you clicked will be shown. Above the table containing this information are two links. The first is a link to summary information (as a PDF file) which contains information about how the Soilscape classes relate to the land cover. The second link directs you to the full key for the soilscape layer. The final method of accessing the soilscape descriptions is by looking at the static maps.
