How do I obtain a South Carolina Withholding account number?
You can apply for a SC Withholding account number using either of two (2) ways: 1) From the homepage of our website, www.sctax.org, select SCBOS (South Carolina Business One Stop) and follow through the questions in order to complete the registration process. When you finish answering the questions, you will be given a confirmation number. Using this number, you can go back into the system two (2) business days later and find out the SC Withholding number that has been assigned to you. In approximately 2 weeks you will receive a packet of withholding information. 2) You may download a copy of the SCTC-111 (Business Tax Application) from our website. Complete the form and mail it to the address listed on the form. In approximately 3 weeks you will receive a letter informing you of the SC Withholding account number that has been assigned to you along with a packet of withholding information.
