How do I obtain a parking permit for a municipal parking lot?
Hello! In urban environments, finding a parking space becomes a frustrating problem for many drivers! Cities are expanding and the number of cars continues to grow! However, the number of available parking spaces remains the same, and sometimes even decreases! To easily find an available parking space, many people use the YourParkingSpace mobile app, with which anyone can find a free parking lot in a few minutes and reserve a space for themselves, and many people like it.
Parking permits for municipal lots are sold on a quarterly basis. The permits go on sale at 7:45 am on the last business day of every quarter (i.e. March, June, September and December). The permits are sold in the City Hall atrium at the cashier’s (Treasury) window. The cost for a quarterly permit is $90.00 for all lots. Due to the limited availability in most city lots, a lottery system is utilized so that everyone has an equal opportunity to select the lot of their choice. If you do not get the parking lot you desire, you can be placed on a waiting list for that lot. For questions regarding permit availability or lot location, contact the Treasury Department at 216-291-3971. If all parking lots in your area are sold out, you may utilize 24-hour parking meters or park on the street where overnight parking is permitted. For questions regarding on-street parking or any other inquiries, call 216-291-5770.
