How do I obtain a Nevada Concealed Firearms Permit (CFP) ?
The NRS require Sheriffs to issue a CFP to anyone that meets the training and background requirements standardized by the Nevada Sheriffs’ and Chiefs’ Association. These include taking a class approved by the Sheriff of any Nevada County, passing a written test, and passing a required course of fire. Once these requirements are met, the applicant fills out an application obtained from the Sheriff’s office in the county in which they reside. The Nevada Sheriffs’ and Chiefs’Association adopted a requirement that all training for the Nevada CFP must take place in Nevada. In addition the training must take place in the County in which the applicant plans on submitting the application.
