How do I obtain a license for my Schrodinger scientific software, and what is “machid”?
In order to issue licenses for most of Schrodinger UNIX-based software, we must first have some information about the computing system on which you have installed Schrodinger software. The “machid” program included in your software distribution generates this information. After a successful installation of most Schrodinger applications, “machid” is automatically executed by the installation routine. Send this “machid output” information in an e-mail message to Schrodinger, Inc. at help@schrodinger.com and we will issue your license.
