How do i move up higher in rank in JROTC?
It sounds like your battalion works the way the battalion I was in worked where you get a rank based on the position you have in the staff. If it works this way you will have to do extremely well to get a promotion because you would have to really deserve it because your position is supposed to be held by a C/CPT, but if you did your job well or something extraordinary they’d have to promote you. I don’t if your battalion does this but in the one I was in if you recruited someone into the program you could get a promotion no matter what rank you are (of course unless a cadet is a C/Colonel the highest rank in the program). You could also talk to the SAI and AI and BC and XO about getting a promotion or what you could improve on what you do for your position. This would probably be the best idea. Especially if you plan on doing the first option and/or can’t do the secnond option I suggested.
