To move the databases using a recent backup: • Login to the Central Administration domain (You will need an administrative account) • Go to Administrative Options>Backup>View Data Backup Options • Click on “Create Backup Now” then “OK” after reviewing where the backup will be created • Go back to the main menu of CAREWare and click on “Refresh Messages” • A new Administrative Alarm will appear, click on the link and verify that the backup was completed successfully • Browse to the location of the backup (Default location: C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$CAREWARE\Data) and copy the cw_bu_X_XX_XX.cwb, where X is the Month/Date/Year of the backup, to the new hard drive/PC/Server. • Install the new CAREWare database instance and if necessary the business and client tiers on the new hard drive/PC/Server. • Go to the business tier directory (Default location: C:\Program Files\CAREWare\RW CAREWare Business Tier) and open the CW Admin.exe • Press “Stop Server” • Highlight the Datab
