Following these steps will help you transfer GUIguide™ to a new server without losing any of the content you’ve already entered or changed: a. Install the same version of GUIguide that was running on the previous server to the new server using the installation CD. Remember to install ColdFusion before installing GUIguide, as per the instructions on the installation CD. b. Copy your existing database from the old server to the new server. You can find this database under the name guideline.mdb. This file should be located in the path “..\Program Files\Classic System Solutions Inc\GUIguide\”. First, make a backup copy of this file. Then make another copy and move it to the new server in the same directory (..\Program Files\Classic System Solutions Inc\Guiguide\), overwriting the file of the same name that was created during the new installation process. IMPORTANT: Make sure you have a backup of your existing database file (guideline.mdb, in the old server) before doing this transfer! c.
