For maximum thermal path it is recommended to solder LED components directly onto the SinkPADTM. However make sure that the thermal path within the LED package is electrically isolated from the anode and cathode. In other words; thermal mounting of the LED package on to the SinkPADTM should be electrically neutral from the anode and cathode.
