In one respect the mounting depends on the Bracket, not so much what it’s designed to support weight wise, but the allowable hole sizes, and how you attach it. Brick, and/or mortar are fine, the issue is more the thread size and length, of, ummm , say TAP CON screws bolts. While I find it odd to hang a TV over a fireplace, I understand that a Fireplace is already a focal point and probably the furniture is placed to be appropriate to the purpose. One answer offers another, perhaps more valid point, the HOOK UPS… Tough to hide those no matter the bracket install, especially on a fireplace wall. Without knowing at all how you define ANCHORS or what type they are, I’d probably NOT use Lag anchors and bolts. I use heavy duty anchoring for installing ledgers, but they may not equate to your design. I also want to assume there is No Mantle on the face of this fireplace. I suggest there are dozens or more sites online that offer valid suggestions, but I’d probably choose another mount locat
