How Do I Miter Cut a Granite Tile Edge?
When you lay granite tiles for a counter, they come with straight, sharp edges, instead of the rounded corners you see on many other tiles. This is because the whole idea with granite tiles is to emulate the flat, solid look of a one-piece granite slab, so you want the tiles to be completely even with each other. The only problem is at the front edge of the countertop, where that sharp corner could look severe and even be dangerous. The solution is to slice off that edge with a tile saw.
