How do I mark an 8 off the Break on the Scoresheet?
Count how many balls went down on the break including the 8 Ball. If 2 low balls went down with the 8 Ball, then you would mark 3 Balls on the Break, and 5 left on table (LOT) for the shooter and 7 left of table (LOT) for the opponent. Mark a stroke in the 8 on Break box for the shooter as well. This is also the way you would score an early 8-ball. Question: I’m playing in the 9 Ball league, can I use this handicap for 8 Ball Events. Answer: For our local 8 Ball tournaments we will allow players with only a 9 ball handicap to play TAP tournaments. But for the Nationals and Valley Forge, if you don’t have an 8 Ball handicap you will not be allowed to play in the 8 ball events.
