How do I make Serv-U run as a system service?
If your PC is running Windows 95 or 98, you can have Serv-U start automatically even before a user logs into the PC. All you need to do to use it as a system service is check the Auto-start as system service option in the Setup| Server menu choice. NT and 2000 users can also run Serv-U as a system service. However, youâll need either the “FireDeamon” utility, available through http://www.firedaemon.com/, or the SrvAny program, which is part of the NT resource kit.
