How do I make my Signature (Deluxe) drive compatible with both Windows and MAC operating system?
To format the drive on your Mac, follow the steps below: • Connect and power the drive. • Double click MacHD on your desktop. • Double click Applications. • Double click Utilities. • Double click Disk Utility. • On the left you will see the list of hard drives in your Mac. Find the SimpleDrive. It will show the size (in GB) with a second indented line beneath that says SimpleDrive or untitled. • Click once on the line with the size (in GB) for the SimpleDrive. • Click erase at the top of the screen. • Select the format you want in the volume format box. MacOS Extended for Mac use only, and MS-DOS if you want to use the drive on both Mac and Windows. • Change the name of the drive if desired. • Click erase at the bottom of the screen, you will get a warning where you will click erase again. The process should complete in less than 2 minutes and then the drive will be ready for use.
