How do i make my own tinted glasses?
LOL…no, there is no possible way to tint your own glasses. There are special dyes for that , developed just for optical lenses, that the lenses will absorb evenly without making dark and light patches. Dye for clothes or hair wouldn’t work. Too many impurities in them. Lets say you were able to buy the necessary supplies from some optical supply house, you would need a 4 pot dye machine to begin with, that will maintain the temperature of the dye between 198 and 201 degrees for about 4 hours…you can get one for about $300.00, then you need Transfer fluid in the bottom, under those pots , that’s another $ 55.00 a gallon ( it needs a gallon ), then you need UV solution in one pot, another 60 – $ 85.00 a quart, you need bleach in another pot , another $ 35.00 a quart , then you need the preparation solution in another pot, $ 45.00 a quart , then finally the dye, the cheap part, in another pot, $ 15.00….then a special clamp to hold those lenses upright, just by the edges , without le
