The Windows Vista operating system includes many upgrades from previous versions of Windows that allow for a more flashy look and design on your desktop. You can even alter the graphics settings in Vista to make your desktop icons transparent so that you can see your background image directly through the icons. Click the “Start” button on the left side of the main toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
