How do i make my computer a wireless access point, shareing out internet connection?
Often the simplest is a wireless broadband router (inexpensive on sale or rebate). I have connected a wireless Palm TX through the wireless of a laptop that was connected to a cable modem, but that is more difficult to explain. Basically I enabled Windows ICS on the cable connection on the laptop which I think automatically assigned an IP to the wireless device on that PC configured for AdHoc mode (instead of normal wireless client). I also configured the wireless for security (simple WEP in that case since it was temporary). Then I connected the Palm TX in AdHoc mode to the laptop’s wireless. But I forget if ICS automatically assigned IP, gateway, and DNS to my Palm device through AdHoc or if I had to set those manually. Not sure if the Nintendo does AdHoc, so like I said, a wireless router may be simplest.
