How do I make bread pudding, a simple recipe only?

I used to make this bread pudding when I cooked in a restaurant. It’s so simple there is no real recipe– but its awesome good. Instead of bread, you use stale donuts (honey glazed donuts are best!), cake, cookies, muffins or whatever other baked good are handy. I’d remove icing from cake though. Cut your stale baked goods into small chunks and place in a greased pan. Sprinkle a little additional sugar, but not a lot. Your baked goods are sweet enough. You need enough milk to cover the chopped up baked goods. Estimate how much this is, then mix in one beaten egg for every cup of milk you use. Add some vanilla. Pour this over top of the donut chunks. Add additional milk if you need it. Add raisins or other dried fruit if you want, Sprinkle the top with brown sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter Bake in medium oven until done. Serve with brown sugar sauce, ice cream , whipped cream or whatever you want.
