Permit applications and guidelines for special events are available through the Park Programs Office in the National Capital Region of the National Park Service. The office can be reached at (202) 619-7225. Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, no earlier than one year in advance of the proposed event. Applications must be received at least 48 hours in advance of the proposed activity. Specific questions about special event regulations in any of the Fort Circle Parks, including Fort Dupont Park, within National Capital Parks–East may be directed to the permit coordinator or site manager at (202) 426-5961.
