How do I make a walrus costume?
Making a walrus costume at home is easy. There are three parts of the costume that are integral to looking like a walrus:
- Body – In order to look like a walrus, you need to buy a baggy brown sweat shirt and sweatpants and stuff the suit with some pillows or towels.
- Tusks – These would be easiest to paper mache. If you don’t have the time to paper mache some tusks, you can roll up a piece of paper and glue it in a triangular fashion.
- Mustache – You need to make sure to have a fluffy walrus mustache. If you do not have a mustache already, you can get some fluffy fabrics from the local craft or fabric store and then attach it to your face with some Elmer’s glue (it is washable and completely safe).
