How do I make a request for more money at my job?
Well, being that this is your first job since you graduated sometimes experience pays better dividends than money. There are several types of temp jobs…… Those hired to fill a gap of sudden influx of work Those that are temp-to-hire where they are testing you to see if you will make a good permanent employee. Those that are just filling in for the absence of a regular employee. The problem is your “real” boss is the temp agency. They control your salary and temps are almost always underpaid because the temp agency makes money for every hour you work. Temp agencies make their money from employers by finding qualified workers to do a job. You may make $10 an hour, but the employer pays the temp agency $13 an hour. This is their fee for providing you. While you can ask for more money, you agreed to take that assignment at that wage.. and you run the risk of beng blackballed by that agency if you make waves.. In this case, I would stick it out for the experience and 2 keep in good stan
