Corporate taxpayers who need additional time to file their Louisiana corporation income and franchise taxes returns and need to make a payment of tax may do both by: • Submitting an Application for Extension to File Corporation Income and Franchise Tax, Form CIFT-620Ext along with your payment; • Requesting the extension and make the payment electronically through tax preparation software; • Submitting a paper copy of the IRS Automatic Extension of Time to File Certain Business Income Tax, Information, and Other Returns, Form 7004, with their Louisiana corporation income and franchise tax account number clearly notated at the top of the form along with your payment. Copies of the state and federal extensions should be mailed to Post Office Box 751, Baton Rouge, LA 70821-0751. The envelope should be marked “Return Extensions”.
