How do I make a good Steak Marinade?

Worcestershire sauce. It is the basic ingredient in all commercial Marinades & Sauces. In fact, it makes a good steak sauce by itself. Start with Worcestershire sauce and add to it the ingredients you like, such as a hint of Garlic, Basalmic Vinegar, Sherry Cooking Wine, etc. You should make small amounts until you find the recipe you really like. A hint here is to use Basalmic Vinegar when making sauces. It doesn’t have the stringent bite other Vinegars have. Another good base is Soysauce for a Terriyakki type marinade. Same rule, start with soysauce and add small amounts of the ingredients you like. Make several small amounts and when you find the one you like, stick with it.
