How do I make a FOIL request to the Attorney Generals Office?
You must make a request for records in writing. You may make a request to the Office of the Attorney General by filling out our FOIL Request Form (link to form). You may attach the form to an email and send it to: FOIL@oag.state.ny.us or mail it to: Records Access Officer, Office of the Attorney General, Capitol, Albany, New York, 12224. You may send an e-mail or letter that contains your request, but it is best to include the information that is included on the FOIL form when you make your request.
