How do I maintain my offroad or side x side exhaust mufflers?
Muzzys offroad and side x side exhaust mufflers have been designed to require minimal maintenance. When new, the muffler packing will require a break in period. During the initial break in (1 to 2 hours of running), run the machine with the spark screens removed. This will allow any loose material in the muffler packing to exit the exhaust. Follow the procedures outlined in the installation instructions. The spark arrester screens should be cleaned and inspected regularly. Muffler packing should also be replaced at regular intervals. (Call Muzzys for a specific repack kit part number). The frequency will depend upon use.
