Some varieties are not suited for deep south areas that are very hot and/or humid (usually H. sanguinea types). They MAY rot if kept too moist. Do not mulch, heavy mulching can kill Heuchera in hot or humid areas. Most Heuchera are shade tolerant, but would appreciate morning sun, 30% shade is best. Too much fertilizer can also kill them.
