How do I locate the salary and pay for jobs in the City of Alexandria?
The City has two pay scales, the General Schedule and the Public Safety Schedule. The General Schedule consists of the salary, grades and steps for general employees, e.g., secretary, civil engineer, fiscal officer, museum director, accountant, refuse collector, recreation leader, etc. The Public Safety Schedule consists of the salary, grades and steps for public safety employees, e.g., deputy sheriff, emergency medical technician, firefighter, and police officer. Click on the Compensation Pay Plans button. On the drop down menu, select and click on either the General Schedule or the Public Safety pay plan.
