How do I Locate an Air Intake Temperature Sensor?

0

The air intake temperature sensor is located along the air intake track of your vehicle. You can locate the temperature sensor in a matter of minutes. It’s not unusual for an air intake temperature sensor to get plugged or give off faulty readings, causing the Check Engine light to illuminate. You can locate the air intake temperature sensor yourself, saving you the time and money of taking the vehicle to a service repair center to be checked out. Remove the air cleaner cover from the top of the engine, unfastening the nut on the top of the cover with an open end wrench. Take the air hoses off the sides of the air cleaner by hand and lift the cleaner off the engine, setting it out of the way. Locate the tube running below the air intake manifold. The air intake temperature sensor is plugged into the tube below the intake manifold. It is a silver cylinder about the shape of a spark plug.
