Go to “Tools” > “Data” > “Copy SQL Server Data to Local”. This will open a window. In Step 1 you will be making a local copy of your data. It will choose a location to store your backup files or you may choose a location by clicking the square with the three dots to the far right, be sure to note where your files are being stored in case you ever need to do a restore. Click the button “Begin Copy SQL to Local”. When it is complete you will get a message that it is finished and then you can click OK and go to Step 2. In Step 2 you will be backing up your data into a Zip file. It will choose a location to store your backup Zip file or you may choose a location by clicking the square with the three dots to the far right, be sure to note where your Zip file is being stored in case you ever need to do a restore. If you choose your own location be sure to name the zip file with today’s date, ie: 04/19/2005 then the file should be named “mgm20050419.zip”. Click the button “Begin Backup to zip
