By default, IIS binds to port 443 even when SSL isn’t in use on the web server. Here are two methods for changing bindings to the SSL port: • Install an SSL certificate, change the port value used in the Internet Services Manager, then remove the certificate. • Change the binding by using the Microsoft MetaEdit utility.
