How do I link my land line phone to my BT Soft-phone?

I have experienced this problem myself when trying to use softphones on my PC at the same time my ATA VoIP adapters are connected through the same Internet Router. All VoIP devices require the use of port 5060. A conflict may exist when both your BT Hub phone and the BT Softphone both want to use port 5060 (and 16384-16390). Try this simple test first: Power-off the Home Hub, and then restart it. Place an Out-going call using your BT Softphone…. do not use the hardphone yet. If the Softphone was able to make a successful outgoing call, then it is presumably getting access to the required ports (ports 5060, + 16384 -16390).
