How Do I Light A Christmas Light With A 6 Volt Battery?

0

Looking at the modern Christmas bulb, you would think that all you had to do was to connect the positive side of a 6 volt battery to one wire and the negative side to the other wire on a string of Christmas lights. The lights will light, a little dim, but they should light. Low and Behold It Doesn’t Work! That is because the bulbs are in series to the wall outlet. The outlet is providing (approx) 120 volts to the string of lights.
