How do I learn more about the Newspaper Collections in the Columbia Libraries?

The collections include newspapers from the seventeenth century to the present in all languages and formats. Please note that subscription status changes frequently and most newspapers are not in CLIO; therefore for comprehensive information and assistance locating paper, electronic, and microfilm newspapers, visit Butler Reference at 301 Butler Library, or call 212-854-2241. The Periodicals and Microforms Reading Room, located in 401 Butler Library, has current newspapers as well as newspapers on microfilm. For more information on the holdings, see the Newspaper Collection page. The Butler Library also has newspaper databases, E-journals, periodical and broadcast media databases. Some non-U.S. newspapers are located in the Lehman Library; see the Starr East Asian Library for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean newspapers.
