How do I lay Floor Tiles on Bathroom Wall?

The purpose of cement board is to prevent a floor from moving or sagging. I don’t think you would need that on the wall. Rough up the walls with 30 grit sandpaper. I would use contact cement to stick the tiles, and spacers to keep it looking good. Then I would fill the seams with tile grout premixed in a tube. Be sure not to use water base contact cement. I have also seen tiles glued to walls with Liquid Nails in the tube, applied with a caulking gun. Don’t get the cheap grade of Liquid Nails, the good grade is worth the extra cost.
