Medicare, under the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), actually has multiple facets of operation, of which, many are ran by contracting entities. As a Regional Home Health Intermediary (RHHI) for Medicare, Cahaba’s primary role is to process and pay your claims correctly. In order to do that, we also provide related functions and services such as medical review, education and customer service. Cahaba is not able to answer questions regarding the Conditions of Participation (CoPs), which the survey and certification office in your state oversees.
