How do I know what the shaft flex is on my golf clubs?

They should be marked. There are several different flexes “S” for stiff, “R” for regular, “A” for amateur/senior; “L” for lady. Some companies used different characters to identify the flex but basically those four are the ones available to amateur golfers. There’s also Extra-stiff primarily used by the pros. If your club shafts aren’t marked take them to a club fitter. He can measure the flex and let you know what you have.
