How do I know what courses will transfer and fulfill degree requirements?
To be credited towards the General Education requirements for the BSDH degree, courses from the NC community college system or any other institution must have specific UNC Chapel Hill equivalents or meet the University Articulation Agreement. Courses can be evaluated by accessing transfer course equivalency lists from the UNC-CH Office of Undergraduate Admissions at www.admissions.unc.edu. When you apply to the BSDH program, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions will determine what courses will transfer – as General Education credits, or as electives. Upon acceptance to the program, the degree completion coordinators will provide a worksheet specifying the courses you will need to complete your BSDH. Note: to fulfill all of the general education and dental hygiene requirements, some students end up graduating with more than 120 credits.
