How do I know what age and information about my Crosley Vintage Record Player?

I just bought a vintage Crosley record player that is built into a cabinet and a side of the radio. I guess that is about 40 years, only plays recordings of glass. I request 2 things: 1. Where I get information about a record player 2. I can not play any of my vinyl without sounding like the Chipmunks. The dish is one speed, but I have some RPMs are circular adjustment … but have no idea of how … anything will help! Take it to a store you trust.
