How do I know the personal information I submit to Secova will be kept confidential?
All Secova employees have completed Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) training and are in compliance with HIPAA privacy guidelines. In addition, strict confidentiality and data security protocols are in place and adhered to by all Secova employees; all employees undergo background checks prior to employment. In addition, any data you provide to Secova will only be used for the Dependent Verification process; it will not be shared with any third parties. When the Dependent Verification process is completed, documentation provided to Secovaelectronically or via paperwill be destroyed; it will not be retained by Secova or the State Health Plan. Secova will provide the State Health Plan with a certification of document destruction.
