How do i know the difference between lymphoma and goiter?
A goiter is an enlarged thyroid, which is located in the front of your neck just above your clavicle. Sometimes people with a goiter notice difficulty swallowing, increased pressure on the throat when laying on their back, and a raspy voice. Lymphoma is cancer of the lymphatic system, which is different from the thyroid and does not cause a goiter (but sometimes lymphoma patients end up with a thyroid dysfunction because of radiation). Seeing a doctor is the best way to determine what you have.
