How do I know the contaminants are removed when I use the WaterStax?
On a broader level test results from Australian installations are available, showing an extensive range of tested criteria including TPH (total petroleum hydrocarbons) levels and the herbicide “Glyphosate” which is the active ingredient in Round-Up. Needless to say the results are significantly below regulation levels and in many cases were non-detectable in the effluent. On-site independent testing of the WaterStax is part of our installation service and you of course would keep those results for your records. Once the WaterStax is in operation the simplest sign that contaminants are not being removed is the “touch and smell” test. The “dead water” smell at the discharge point is usually the first sign that contaminants are not being removed. It is recommended that you have a periodic water analysis test at the discharge outlet with records kept. If an incident was to occur a history of test results is an excellent display of due diligence, no matter what system you choose to install.
