How do I know Silca Coffee is fresh?
• We only roast coffee upon receipt of your order. • We label coffee with the roast date and not the expiration date so that you can more accurately determine freshness for yourself. We recommend 2 months from the roast date. • Exposure to direct sunlight and air accelerates the spoiling of coffee. Our heat sealed foil packaging not only protects the coffee from the elements, but also contamination to undesirable odors and flavors. • Our one-way valves ensure that the coffee flavor, aroma and freshness are locked in the bag until you open the package. As part of the natural cooling process, coffee emits carbon dioxide after roasting. These one-way valves enable us to pack the coffee immediately because the carbon dioxide can escape, but no oxygen can enter the packaging. • We are direct to the source.
