How do i know if they are copepods?

They might be copepods, although it’s most likely a parasite. If you are overfeeding your fish and if there is a large source of light, it could be that your aquarium has been producing these parasites. Make sure to be sucking out the debris of the rotting food at the bottom of the aquarium everyday if you can – or just cut down on the amount you’re feeding your fish! Make sure you don’t keep the lights on for more than six hours a day. If you have corals and plants you’re growing, you may want to think of upgrading the wattage of your bulbs so that they will grow even with intense light for only six hours a day. I recommend doing a partial water change. It would help if you fasted your aquarium for a few days, that way the parasites will mostly die off. You can also purchase the “Ick/Ich Be Gone!” product or a general parasite killer and start the treatment ASAP.
