• Your network must meet the following technical specifications for the unit to work with joip: (1) Broadband Internet connection such as DSL or cable (2) Modem Broadband modem with Ethernet port (USB-only modems are not supported.) (3) Broadband router*1*2 *1 This unit is not compatible with the following: – PPPoE (Point to Point Protocol over Ethernet) – PPTP (Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol) – L2TP (Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol) If your Internet service provider uses a PPPoE, PPTP, or L2TP connection, a compatible router is required. *2 We recommend using a DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol) server.
