How do I know if the astigmatism has been under or overcorrected for a particular patient after refractive surgery?
Ans. This can be determined by looking at the individual Correction Index of the patient in the ‘Data Entry’ module and selecting ‘Graph’ from the top menu. The Correction Index can be assessed via Refraction, Keratometry or Topography. The CI is preferably 1.0. It is greater than 1.0 if an overcorrection occurs and less than 1.0 if there is an undercorrection.
