If you have a standard hospital or general (also known as ancillary or extras) treatment policy, it is likely that your insurer is registered – most existing insurers are. If you have any doubts, ask your health insurer. A list of insurers registered with PHIAC is available at the privatehealth.gov.au website, or by calling PHIAC on 1300 737 299.
