How do I know if I need treatment at the Wound Care and Ostomy Program?
Typically, most wounds heal without any special treatment. However, when wounds fail to show progress in two weeks or heal completely in eight weeks, these chronic wounds need the expertise of a wound care specialist. People with diabetes or poor circulation often have wounds such as these. People with questions or concerns related to their ostomy, or in need of ostomy education, can be seen by our certified staff.
