Browsers, including Internet Explorer, are constantly changing as software developers continue to fix bugs, plug security leaks and add new features. Because of this, many sites and applications do not work well or at all with old versions of Internet Explorer, so it’s important to always run the latest version of Internet Explorer available so you can take advantage of the increased functionality. Take a few minutes to find out whether you are running the latest version. Start Internet Explorer. Click”Help” in the main menu bar. Scroll down and click “About Internet Explorer.” Your version of Internet Explorer will be listed here. Close “Help.” Keep your browser open and go to the Microsoft website. Click the “All Products” tab. Scroll down and click “Internet Explorer” under the “Most Popular” section. This will take you to the landing page of the most current version of the browser.
