How do I know if i have a filter tee in my septic tank?
As stated earlier, as of January 1, 1998 the state required that an approved outlet filter device be placed in all new septic tanks. Under some system repair conditions an outlet filter devise may have been installed in the existing septic tanks. If you system has been repaired since January 1, 1998 there may have been an outlet filter in your tank. An inspection of the septic tank at the time of pumping will answer this question if the company which performed the system repair can not answer the question.
